There is a board meeting in the lobby office at 7:00pm this Wednesday. Owners and residents are welcome to attend.
And FYI, there’s a map of the Canal Place complex on this site that can be shared with friends or delivery people or anyone else who’s planning to come by and doesn’t know the area. It’s been there all along via the Useful Links page but is rarely noticed. The map has just been updated (again) and can be reached directly at https://www.canalplaceone.com/map.pdf
Just a reminder that Lowell’s Winterfest starts in less than an hour. The schedule can be found here. It’s always a fun chance to get bundled up and enjoy some good entertainment and good food. The soup contest is always our favorite, but the music and the fire show are invariably close seconds!
I would expect Arcand Drive to be closed this evening and tomorrow but that should be it for road closures.
Can anyone recommend a reliable and affordable contractor or handyman to do things like patch holes in walls, paint, install blinds, etc? The guy I was using moved out of state. Preferably someone for whom no job is too small and doesn’t mind doing cosmetic work. Thanks in advance!!
This comes up every so often, but it seems to have been quite awhile since anyone asked about general contractors. One can also use the search button (upper right) and type in “contractor” but from there it’s necessary to click on the comments for each post to see the actual suggestions.
You might want to connect with “Amazon Logistics”. They seemed to know exactly the layout of Canal Place I, II and III. I had a long winded text with four different individuals and finally was connected with Amazon Logistics who seemed to know the layout of the area and wanted to know exactly where my unit number was. I want my deliveries made to my door.
For any interested residents, the (almost) monthly board meeting will be in the lobby office this Wednesday, the 22nd, at 7:00. Please feel free to attend!
I’m not familiar with Publisher software so I can’t help Georgi out with this. Can anyone else give her a call and walk her through it?
I need help from someone who understands Publisher software. I’m trying to do a two-sided sheet of paper with six postcards and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but for some reason I can’t get the six on one page. If there’s anybody out there who could help me, it would be really, really appreciated!
A resident got rear-ended recently and is looking for recommendations for a good body shop that does top notch work and knows Subarus. If anyone has any suggestions, please post in the comments or shoot me an email and I’ll forward it. Thanks!
For anyone looking to dispose of their real Christmas tree, the city has drop off locations available from now through January 11th. Or if you’d like to have your tree picked up, you can make arrangements here. Be sure to remove all ornaments, lights, and tinsel prior to disposal or pickup.
Please be sure to wrap your tree in an old sheet or a plastic tarp when removing it from the building to avoid trailing needles through the halls. And trees do not belong in the front elevator—please use the freight elevator or the stairs. Thank you for your consideration.
FYI, the parking ban is slated to continue through the night and ends at 6 tomorrow morning. If you’ve taken advantage of the free parking in certain city garages, you have until 8am to move your car before they start charging.
A snow emergency has been declared in Lowell with a parking ban starting at midnight. If your car is in the Canal Place surface lot please move it to a city garage or other off-street parking ASAP or risk being towed.
