Did this person enter through the lobby door, or the exterior door?
If the lobby, can we keycard access the mailroom door ? I have to assume the keycard access system has a tap in log – if you keycard access to the mailroom you can ID people.
I would also suggest keycarding the external door and issuing mailroom-only cards vs keys for CP2 for auditing purposes.
I agree with the comment from Jack. Tracking is your answer.
There’s a joint committee working with reps from all three buildings and looking at a number of solutions to be implemented ASAP. I believe that management is currently looking into fob systems for both doors into the mailroom. Having fobs for that outside door will mean that they can be disabled when someone moves out.
