Security

The management has asked me to post a reminder to keep your doors locked. Someone recently entered the building through the open garage door and started asking residents for money. And we all know how hard it can be to keep people from slipping into the building when someone else is entering. Unless you know someone to be a resident, please don’t open/hold the door for them.  The building is only as secure as we make it.

  1. The question that needs an answer, is why were the garage doors left open. This is not the first time, the doors have been left open for many day’s on end. Every car or storage locker could have been vandalized, or someone could have easily been attacked. This is why we should have access to the security cameras that we paid for. Had I seen the person wandering about, I would have called the police. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

    1. The police actually were called (there’s are a pair of notes about the incident on the lobby bulletin board). The camera access issue is, I believe, a privacy one; there were residents not comfortable with the idea of just anyone having the ability to watch their neighbors coming and going so only a very few people have access. As for the garage door being open, that’s something to ask Cathy. Having the door stay open certainly does compromise security in the building!
