Lost Ring?
Hello all.
I found a ring this evening on the front step of the building just below the key pad. If you think it might be yours, please e-mail me a detailed description (approximate size, stone, setting, etc) at admin@canalplaceone.com and I’ll be happy to get it back to you.
Happy Hour in the Alleyway
Just a reminder about the gathering in the Alleyway this afternoon from 4 to 6. Bring a chair and a beverage for yourself—extra to share is also welcome if you’re so inclined. Come enjoy a lovely late-summer day with your neighbors!
Electrician for bathroom fan
Hello All. Our upstairs bathroom fan has died and I’m looking for recommendations for an electrician to replace it—and any other tips about fan type or whatever based on other people’s experience. Thanks!

See Something Say Something
FYI, Lowell has a nice chart of who to call for any given problem around town at https://www.lowellma.gov
I’ve also uploaded an easy-to-print pdf of the See Something Say Something flyer to the CP site and added a link to it on the “Useful Links” page.
Thanks, Mary, for letting me know about this useful resource!
Anyone need a sleeping bag?
Monday morning update: Please ignore the following message. The sleeping bag has found a new home.
While I know it’s not the weather to be thinking about ultra-warm body wraps, I’m currently weeding out a few things and trying to get rid of a very nice, puffy, blue, mummy-style sleeping bag. I just ran it though the washer and dryer and it’s free to the first person who asks. E-mail me at admin@canalplaceone.com.
Festival Time
The Lowell Folk Festival is this coming weekend. If you expect to be out driving, please be aware of street closures and allow extra time to get anywhere. And have a joyful and safe Festival Weekend!
Street Closings As Follows:
Hard Closures to be done at 3 PM Friday beginning with Merrimack at Dutton. Traffic to be re-routed to exit away from this area towards “drain” exits at Central Street, Kearney Square, and Market/Dutton.

Forgotten Keys
We seem to be having a rash of forgotten keys this past week. Please consider keeping a spare key—and possibly a pass-card or fob—in your car or wallet. Even if there’s a key in the office, that doesn’t mean there will be anyone with access to the office available when you need them.
Some years ago residents were invited to purchase lockboxes to put on a pipe in one particular corner of the basement garage in which they could keep spare keys. Has anyone done that or know if it’s still an option? I’ll ask Cathy, but in the meantime I thought I’d go ahead a post this reminder.
Queen size bed frame — free!
From a resident:
I have a metal Queen size bed frame. Free to anyone who’ll take it.
Update 10:00 PM: ALREADY GONE!
