Lieby’s Memorial Service
Lieby Bouchard—who, with her husband, Al, has been a long-time resident of the building—passed away some weeks ago. A memorial service has now been scheduled for her friends to say goodbye.
The service will be taking place at 10:00am on Saturday, April 6, at
Saint Peter Parish,
100 Concord Ave.
Cambridge, MA.
Free Packing Materials/Craft Paper
If anyone needs bubble wrap, heavy brown craft paper, or other packing materials, I’ll have a bunch up for grabs in the office from 9–11 this morning. I hate to just put this stuff in the trash!
New Insurance, Free Stuff, & Contractor Info
Reminder: The building has new master insurance with significant changes. Info has gone out via email and snail mail. Owners need to update their own insurance accordingly.
An owner is giving away a storage cabinet (beige) that came with his basement space and that he doesn’t want. See photo below and contact me if you’re interested.
I have a large quantity of packing materials free for the taking, including bubble wrap, paper, and more. If you’re wrapping items for transport or need heavy brown paper for an art project, stop by the lobby office Saturday morning between 9 and 11 and grab some.
Individual unit owners sometimes share advice here about contractors they’ve used successfully. The search feature is a great tool for finding suggestions in old posts. An owner recently used a new contractor that they were enthusiastic enough about to want to share so I’ll be tucking that info in the comments for this post. As always, owners need to do their own research and be sure to submit the required forms to management before undertaking any work on their unit.

Important Owner Info
Emails went out to owners on Tuesday and Thursday with loan info and amounts due. If you didn’t receive them, you can find the same info on your owner’s portal under “Shared Documents,” “Loan info feb 24.”
To help keep bulk emails from management from being snagged by your spam filter, try adding “jawood-mail-system@jawood.mailer.appfolio.us” to your contact list.
The same loan info should also be going out in a hardcopy mailing in the near future.

Owner Found! (& list purge)
The owner has been found and is on their way to pick up the dog.
Also, if you no longer want to receive these notices, please let me know. I’m running into trouble with gmail limits. If I have to switch systems I will, but if there are folks who’ve moved away who I can trim off the list, that would be easier & cheaper. Thanks!

Snow Emergency Ending & Winterfest
Today’s snow emergency officially ends at 3:00. Cars taking advantage of free city garage parking have until 6:00pm to remove their vehicles or they’ll incur parking charges.
Winterfest is this coming weekend and a good bit of it is taking place on Palmer and Middle Streets. Parking and driving in those areas will be affected from 10:00am Friday through Saturday evening. Please plan accordingly.

Snow Emergency Declared for 5:30pm
A snow emergency has been declared beginning at 5:30PM today with a parking ban starting six hours later at 11:30PM. All cars must be removed from our surface lot by 11:30PM to allow for plowing or they will be subject to towing. The city offers residents free parking during a snow emergency at the Hamilton Canal garage behind Canal Place 3. The Hamilton garage is accessed from Dutton Street.
Parking at the Leo Roy garage next door is NOT free and the Association will NOT refund fees incurred during the parking ban.
