Market Street between Palmer and Shattuck Streets will be closed from 7am until midnight on Saturday for the Kinetic Sculpture Race. Access to and from the surface lot and the Roy Garage shouldn’t be seriously affected if coming from the Central Street end of Market, except perhaps between 11am and noon right as the race is getting underway.

There’s an interesting news report about the Kinetic Sculpture Race on YouTube. It’s a fun event with lots of silliness and the weather looks to be great.

If you’re traveling on the far side of the Merrimack River Saturday, I’m told that Pawtucket Blvd between the Rourke bridge and the School Street bridge will also be closed between 2–4pm by the race.
