CANAL PLACE CONDOMINIUM TRUST
UNIT OWNER SURVEY – PROPOSED SMOKING AMENDMENT
TO: All
Condominium Unit Owners
FROM: Board
of Trustees
SUBJECT: Amending
the Condominium Documents to Adopt a Complete No- Smoking Policy
DATE: July
22, 2016
Over the last decade, there have been many changes to both
public and private policies in regards to smoking. From the workplace to restaurants and
other public places, many entities and organizations have introduced a ban on
smoking. Recently, many local
condominiums have also instituted policies to limit or even ban, smoking both
in the common areas as well as inside individual units.
In response to this trend, as well as to numerous requests
by residents at the Condominium, the Board has been exploring the possibility
of adopting an amendment to the Condominium documents to implement an enhanced
no-smoking policy. As we continue
to explore this critical issue, we would like to get your feedback. Accordingly, we would appreciate it if
you would take the time to complete the following survey and return it to the
management company on or before August 5, 2016. Please either leave the
completed form in the lobby office, send it by US mail to P.O. Box 850,
Methuen, MA 01844, fax to 978-521-9968 or e-mail to royal.cathy@comcast.net.
Please note that this is not a formal vote
to adopt any amendment or policy – this is only an informational survey. Thank you for your participation.

support an amendment to the Condominium documents which would prohibit smoking

Ó
GrandfatheringÓ for Current Owners/Tenants Who Smoke:
If you are in favor
of adopting an amendment, please also indicate whether you would support a provision
in the amendment which would create a limited exemption from the no-smoking
