City Halloween V.s CP1 Halloween

The City of Lowell has rescheduled general Trick-or-Treating to Friday due to weather concerns. Does anyone feel we should follow the city schedule or should we leave it alone and enjoy our warm and cozy indoor event as scheduled on Thursday the 31st?

Last time this happened we followed the city schedule and changed the date, to the dismay of some residents. My personal preference is to leave it on the 31st now that the flyers have gone out and everyone would have to be notified of any change. But input in the comments or directly to me is welcome!

  1. The last time when we went with the city, there had been folks with plans for that night and were not able to be at home. Maybe before making a decision we can do a survey to see if folks will be home. It doesn’t matter to me because I will be home.

  2. I’m with leave it on 31st. We missed out last time when it was changed. Ours are mostly little guys who probably won’t do the city.

  3. So if I remember correctly we had outside trick or treaters come in last year as most years, which was okay, there didn’t seem to be any problems so, I think we go with the city, I mean it’s already been announced there’s no time to take a survey and we just go with the way the city has it planned.. if not when the city kids come out on Friday and our doors are not open, we may get Egged!! Ha!! Happy Halloween everybody!!

  4. I’d leave it on the 31st. It’s indoors, mainly for residents. That’s the beauty–we don’t have to worry about the weather.

  5. No matter what, I will have delicious treats in the office tomorrow night for all us kids who need their sugar fix!! Ha!

  6. I would expect that any outside Trick-or-Treaters would be guests of residents and should be okay with our schedule being different from the city’s.
